U.Y.I. Beacon Programs

The Urban Youth Initiative strives to meet the need of the youth where they are. The place that most of our participants will be, most of the year, is within the walls of NYC public schools.

 

The U.Y.I Beacon Programs aspire to work with a select number of middle schools in the South Bronx to provide academic support to the school while supplying educational and social support to the participants.

 

U.Y.I. hope to be able to positively impact the lives of hundreds of under-served youth in New York City yearly through holistic extra-curricular activities designed to enrich each participant academically, mentally and physically.

 

The basis of the U.Y.I. Beacon Program will center on the principle of providing the youth that we are charged to serve with a safe environment where they can complete assignments received in their day school. Additionally, our Beacon program will provide enriching programs such as STEM centered projects, music composing, career planning and sporting activities, to name a few.
